Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed shared on his official social media page that he held a discussion this morning with Dr. Jean Kaseya, Director General of the Africa CDC.
During their discussion, the Prime Minister highlighted a range of strategic priorities, including his newly entrusted role as the African Union Champion for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health.
He underscored that innovation continues to serve as a cornerstone of Africa’s development and transformation.
“As we navigate evolving health challenges, harnessing the power of AI and digital technologies will be essential to strengthening our health systems, expanding access, and delivering better outcomes for our people,” the Prime Minister noted.
Reaffirming Ethiopia’s commitment, he emphasized the country’s readiness to share its experiences with fellow African nations while fostering strong partnerships to effectively adapt to a rapidly advancing technological landscape.
“I look forward to working closely with Africa CDC and partners across the continent to translate this vision into tangible and inclusive impact,” the Prime Minister stated.
