Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., widely known as DDG, the renowned African American rapper, YouTuber, and live streamer, has visited the Adwa Victory Memorial in Addis Ababa, a historic landmark that stands as a powerful symbol of pride, resistance, and Black excellence.
During his visit, DDG toured the memorial’s galleries, where he explored historical artifacts, cultural displays, and artistic works that commemorate Ethiopia’s landmark victory at Adwa and its enduring significance in African and Black history.
As part of the visit, DDG was also welcomed with a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, a cultural gesture that honored Ethiopia as the birthplace of coffee and offered him a deeper glimpse into the country’s rich heritage and hospitality.

Born in Michigan, USA, in October 1997, DDG first rose to prominence on YouTube in 2014, where he built a massive following through engaging lifestyle content, live streams, and behind-the-scenes videos.
DDG later expanded into music and officially entered the industry in 2018, signing with Epic Records and establishing himself as a notable figure in both digital entertainment and hip-hop.

DDG is currently touring various sites in Ethiopia, including the Adwa Victory Memorial.
