Addis Media Network (AMN) has received recognition from the Addis Ababa City Council for its contributions to the success of the comprehensive development works undertaken by the city administration.
AMN, known as “The Voice of the Generation,” was recognized for its content disseminated through alternative media platforms, particularly its role in highlighting development achievements supported by the public, promoting peace, and contributing to efforts to strengthen the city’s democratic system.
Speaking on the occasion, Addis Ababa City Council Speaker Buzena Alkedir said AMN has played an important role in ensuring that the concerns and complaints of residents are heard and receive appropriate responses.
Receiving the recognition on behalf of AMN, CEO Solomon Dibaba said the media house’s progress in content development, innovation, and information outreach has increasingly focused on residents’ interests and aspirations for change and development.
He added that the recognition serves as an inspiration for AMN to strengthen its commitment to promoting progressive public demands for development and ensuring greater access to relevant and reliable information.
