Minister of Foreign Affairs Gedion Timothewos met with the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of the Congo and Angola on the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council in Addis Ababa, where they discussed ways to advance bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on key continental issues.
In his meeting with his Republic of the Congo counterpart, FM Gedion explored opportunities to expand cooperation in emerging areas, including artificial intelligence, as well as climate change mitigation and resilience. The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing economic ties as a key pillar of the bilateral relationship.

In his meeting with Angolaโs Foreign Minister, FM Gedion discussed matters of mutual interest at both the bilateral and continental levels. The ministers underscored the importance of closer collaboration to strengthen the African Unionโs institutional mechanisms and advance common African priorities, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
