In a message shared on her official social media page, Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie announced that a sister city agreement has been signed between Addis Ababa and Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
According to the Mayor, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two cities in key areas, including urban development, digitalization of public services, housing development, tourism (with a special focus on sports tourism), as well as cultural and historical exchanges between the two peoples.
