The 4th “Invest in Ethiopia” International Investment Forum Set for March 26–27, 2026 in Addis Ababa.
A joint statement regarding the forum was issued by the Ethiopian Investment Commission, the Ministry of Finance Ethiopia, and the World Bank.
Ethiopian Investment Commissioner Zeleke Temesgen(PhD) stated that the forum is organized in collaboration with the Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and development partners.
The commissioner explained that the primary objective of the forum is to attract new foreign and domestic investments, demonstrate the government’s strong commitment to the sector, and introduce investors to the recently implemented investment policy reforms.
The forum is expected to bring together prominent international and local companies, business community leaders, policymakers, advisors, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Media institutions were also called upon to fulfill their professional responsibility by promoting Ethiopia’s investment opportunities and contributing to the success of the forum.
State Minister of Finance Semereta Sewasew, on her part, said that the government has undertaken extensive policy and legal framework reforms to expand investment in Ethiopia.
The state Minister added that due to the country’s untapped potential and ongoing reform measures, there is currently strong momentum to invest in Ethiopia. The forum, she emphasized, will serve as a major platform to create awareness about these opportunities.
World Bank Country Director for Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, and Sudan, Maryam Salim, stated that now is the right time to participate in the forum, highlighting Ethiopia’s vast investment potential.
The director cited the country’s young and growing workforce, strategic geographic location, strong agricultural foundation, and expanding industrial sector as key factors enhancing its attractiveness for investment.
Furthermore, she commended Ethiopia for not only expressing reform ambitions but also implementing tangible and visible reform measures in practice.
