Addis Mesob One-Stop Service Centers Serve Over 230,000 Customers, Public Satisfaction Reaches 99%

The “Addis Mesob” one-stop service centers digital government initiative has provided service to more than 230 thousand customers within a short period, since its establishment. Data show that public satisfaction increased to 99 percent.

Designed to modernize service delivery in Addis Ababa and create conducive environment for the one-stop centers digital government, the Addis Mesob project is registering significant results.

As efforts are underway to open 11 service centers by June 30, 2018 Ethiopian calendar (E.C.) of which nine centers had already become fully operational as of May 30, 20218 E.C. These centers are located in Arada, Bole, Lideta, kirkos, Addis Ketemea, Gullele, Nifas Silk-Lafto, kolfe keranio, and Yeka Sub-cities.

Director General of the Addis Mesob One-Stop Center Digital Government Service, Engineer Desalegn Terefe, staed that constriction of the remaining Akaki Kality and Lemi Kura sub-cities has reached over 99.5 percent completion, and preparations have been made to finalize and operationalize them within the coming days.

Since becoming operational, these centers have provided services to more than 230, 00 residents within a short period, while surveys indicate that the customer satisfaction has reached 99 percent.

This success has been achieved, due to the special attention given to the initiative by the city administration through the recruitment of qualified professionals, the provision of trainings, and the timely fulfillment of all essential resources.
