A delegation of arts professionals, led by State Minister of Culture and Sports Assistant Professor Nebiyu Baye, visited newly constructed cultural and arts facilities as well as corridor development projects in Addis Ababa. The delegation included senior artists and heads of regional Culture and Sports Bureau offices.
During the visit, the delegation toured Arada Park, Addis Cinema Complex, and Ethiopia’s first private art and circus center located in Entoto.
Assistant Professor Nebiyu Baye briefed the visitors on the major development projects currently underway in the capital and highlighted the government’s strong commitment to strengthening and advancing the arts sector alongside broader urban development efforts.
It was also noted that members of the delegation and regional Culture and Sports Bureau officials are participating in a three-day consultative forum at the African Leadership Excellence Academy. The forum focuses on legal frameworks for the arts sector and discussions on a draft national arts policy.
