Ethiopia and China have maintained a strong and enduring partnership for decades, recently further elevated to an all-weather strategic cooperation partnership.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed welcomed China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Wang Yi, and underscored the deep-rooted ties between the peoples and governments of the two countries.
During their discussions, the leaders reviewed key areas of development cooperation and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing mutual development goals. They also explored ways to deepen collaboration across priority sectors, including the economy, trade, infrastructure, energy, and transportation.
In addition, both sides highlighted the vast potential for cooperation in emerging fields such as e-commerce, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green energy.
