In a message shared on her social media page, the Mayor stated that the 909 graduates received professional training in various fields and have now secured employment opportunities.

The Mayor emphasized that development cannot be complete unless it transforms human lives. “The achievements of the lenegewa Women’s Center are a clear example.” Since its establishment, the center has opened a new chapter in the lives of women who were previously facing challenges.

The Lenegewa has become a true center of hope, empowering women who once lived on the streets to become independent, skilled, and capable of building better futures.

Since its inception, the center has trained a total of 2,401 women, enabling them to join the workforce, improve their livelihoods, and serve as role models for others. “It gives us great satisfaction to see these women, equipped with knowledge and skills, and step confidently toward a brighter future,” the mayor said.

“We are immensely proud of your determination and resilience in overcoming the hardships you endured. Your outstanding 97.5% result in the Certificate of Competency (COC) exam is strong evidence of your capability and dedication.

It proves that when women in difficult circumstances are given opportunity, support, and care, they demonstrate extraordinary strength and achieve rapid transformation. “With the skills and rehabilitation training you have gained, you have overcome today’s challenges,” the Mayor concluded.
