Reflecting on the Ethiopian 7th General Election, President Taye Atske Selassie said that this year’s election is unique compared to the previous ones for several reasons.
He cited the registration of more than 54 million voters, describing it as a historic milestone.
The registration also demonstrates Ethiopians’ willingness and eagerness to elect their leaders using their voter cards, which is one of the factors that make the vote special.
The president reiterated that the participation of several political parties and independent individuals in the competition signifies the smooth advancement of Ethiopia’s democratic system and showcases the process of building dependability.
