The Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration, Adanech Abiebie, emphesized that the ongoing reforms in Ethiopia have laid a solid foundation for addressing long-standing bottlenecks in the industrial sector.
In an interview with Addis Media Network regarding the Let Addis Ababa Produce movement the Mayor explained that the government developed and implemented a clear strategy based on the understanding that industrialization is an inevitable destination for Ethiopia’s economic transformation.
The Mayor noted that extensive efforts have been made to identify and tackle the key challenges hindering industrial growth. According to the Mayor, a comprehensive strategy has been designed and is currently being implemented to sustainably resolve issues related to infrastructure, finance, productivity, and product quality, areas that have long constrained the sector’s performance.
The Mayor further emphasized that the favorable policy framework and financial support introduced by the government have created significant opportunities for investors.
