State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, met with Ms. Marie-Hélène Calvin, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Haiti, for discussions on Haiti’s decision to open an embassy in Addis Ababa.
Ambassador Berhanu stated that “the Government of Ethiopia warmly welcomes Haiti’s decision to open an embassy in Addis Ababa,” noting that this step reflects the “longstanding bond of friendship” between the two countries, which is “rooted in a proud and meaningful history.”
During the meeting, Ambassador Berhanu reaffirmed to Ms. Calvin “Ethiopia’s unwavering support throughout the process of establishing the new embassy,” underscoring Ethiopia’s readiness to facilitate the successful opening and operation of the Haitian mission in Addis Ababa.
