Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has officially inaugurated Shabeely Resort, a flagship project under the Dine for Generations initiative, spanning 385 hectares.
On his official social media page, Prime Minister Abiy described Shabeely not merely as a resort, but as “a living expression of the rich heritage of the Somali Region, where modern architecture harmoniously blends with ancient traditions.”
“This project in the eastern region, alongside many others, marks a major milestone in fulfilling our commitment to make Ethiopia one of Africa’s premier tourist destinations,” he stated.
With its abundant natural landscapes and the strong partnerships nurtured through the Medemer initiative, Shabeely Resort stands as a powerful testament that Ethiopia is not only a nation of dreams but a nation that turns those dreams into reality.
