A business conference and exhibition aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between Ethiopia and Turkey has kicked off today in Addis Ababa.
The 9th Business Forum, organized by the World Cooperation of Industries Forum a Turkey-based international platform, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, brought together more than 50 Turkish investors.
Speaking at the opening session, Addis Ababa City Deputy Mayor and Head of the Industry Development Bureau, said the city is positioning itself as a trade hub, highlighting its status as a key diplomatic center in Africa.
The Deputy Mayor noted that the long-standing relationship between Ethiopia and Turkey is rooted in mutual benefit. Jantirar also highlighted the significant role Turkish investors are playing in Ethiopia’s industrial development, adding that the forum will not only strengthen existing partnerships but also create new opportunities across various sectors.

For his part, Turkish International Industry President Utku Bengasi described Ethiopia as one of Africa’s leading nations for trade and investment.
The President emphasized that Turkey views Ethiopia as a strategic trading partner, expressing confidence that the growing cooperation will yield substantial results.
Invited participants from a range of relevant sectors are taking part in the two-day business forum.
