Cameroon, Ethiopia 60-Year Diplomatic Ties Marked with 4km Commemorative Walk in Addis Ababa

The Embassy of Cameroon in Ethiopia organized a commemorative 4-kilometre walk along Cameroon Street to its embassy premises in Addis Ababa, celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cameroon and Ethiopia.

The event, held today, is part of a year-long program marking six decades since the establishment of the Cameroon Embassy in Addis Ababa on 14 June 1966.

The walk brought together Cameroon’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, members of the diplomatic community, Cameroonian nationals residing in Ethiopia, and invited guests.

Speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador highlighted the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing that Ethiopia and Cameroon continue to enjoy strong bilateral relations rooted in mutual respect, African solidarity, and collaboration on continental issues.

Participants described the event as a powerful symbol of unity, friendship, and the enduring partnership between the two African nations.
