The illegal TPLF faction has been deliberately and systematically undermining Tigray’s younger generation through an organized and coordinated campaign.

The group has established an alliance under the name “Tsimido” with Eritrea, Sudan, and domestic extremist groups, claiming that its objective is to destabilize Ethiopia in order to sustain its own political survival.

According to the allegations, the group has used the Pretoria Peace Agreement as a strategic opportunity to regroup and prepare for another round of conflict while continuing to inflict suffering on the people of Tigray, particularly mothers and young people.

The Pretoria Peace Agreement marked a genuine turning point by ending armed conflict and restoring hope for lasting peace in the region.

Since the signing of the agreement, the Federal Government has undertaken extensive efforts to rebuild damaged infrastructure, restore public institutions, and improve conditions for a peaceful and stable life in Tigray.

Despite these efforts, the TPLF allegedly treated the peace agreement merely as a tactical pause.

The group is accused of repeatedly undermining the Interim Administration, convening an illegally constituted regional council, and forming a cabinet that lacked public legitimacy.

The group is also accused of intentionally jeopardizing Tigray’s future by preparing for renewed conflict and forcibly recruiting children and young people, causing widespread suffering among families throughout the region.

Critics allege that these actions reflect a deliberate and systematic strategy aimed at depriving Tigray’s next generation of peace, education, and hope for the future.
