Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced on his official social media page that Ethiopia has successfully completed Digital Ethiopia 2025, achieving nearly all of its intended goals.
The Prime Minister further revealed that the country has officially launched Digital Ethiopia 2030 today.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that expanding digital accessibility, creating equal opportunities for citizens, and strengthening trust between citizens and institutions are among the core pillars of the new strategy.
Abiy emphasized that significant efforts will be made, particularly in expanding public digital infrastructure across the country.
According to Abiy Ahmed, the strategy is designed to ensure that digital technology remains people-centered, enhancing service delivery and improving the livelihoods of Ethiopians.
The Prime Minister also noted that the initiatives under Digital Ethiopia are closely aligned with the objectives of the Medemer (Synergy) Government, aimed at realizing major national strategies through a streamlined and simplified bureaucracy.
