Addis Media Network Earns Recognition for Its Contribution to GERD’s Success

Addis Media Network (AMN) has been recognized for its significant contribution to the realization of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) through its extensive media activities.

At a recognition ceremony held at the Sheraton Addis, Addis Media Network Chief Executive Officer Solomon Dibaba received a certificate of appreciation from the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project Coordination Office.

The recognition acknowledged the network’s major efforts across its various media platforms in supporting the successful completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, a national project built through the collective efforts of Ethiopians.

During the ceremony, Addis Media Network was commended for producing timely, high-quality, and innovative media content and for playing a significant role in raising public awareness and mobilizing citizens around the national project.

Officials also highlighted the network’s role as a competitive media organization that continues to contribute to mobilizing citizens toward achieving shared national goals.

Aregawi Berhe, Chief Executive Officer of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Coordination Project Office, said that the contribution and lasting legacy of all Ethiopians in bringing the dam to fruition would be remembered.

The Addis Ababa City Administration was also recognized during the ceremony for its sustained contribution to the success of the dam. In addition, various government institutions, media organizations, and other stakeholders received certificates and awards of appreciation for their contributions to the project.
