Mufti Akeel-Ur-Rehman Pirzada(PhD), Grand Mufti of Islamabad and Chairman of the Ulama Aman Committee Pakistan visited the Ethiopian Embassy islamabad on Thursday for a productive meeting with Chalachew Eshetie, Chargé d’Affaires (ad interim).
The two sides discussed areas of mutual interest, including bilateral cooperation in promoting inter-faith harmony, religious diplomacy, and people-to-people ties.
The Chargé d’Affaires briefed His Eminence on the exemplary state of inter-faith harmony in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, noting how people of various faiths co-exist peacefully.
He highlighted Ethiopia as the land of Hazrat Bilal Habeshi and King Najashi, urging His Eminence to play a role in strengthening bilateral relations deeply rooted in shared history, religious, and cultural values.
Dr. Mufti Akeel-Ur-Rehman Pirzada commended Ethiopia for its commitment to inter-faith harmony and conveyed the warm sentiments of the Pakistani people toward the “Land of Origins.”
He underlined the need to foster inter-faith dialogue and exchange delegations to further enhance peace and mutual understanding between the two nations.
