The Chairperson of the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), has provided an update on the vote-counting process for Ethiopia’s 7th General Election.
Speaking at a media briefing, the Chairperson announced that vote-counting results have been officially posted at the constituency level in 825 electoral districts where the election was conducted. Vote tabulation is still underway in the remaining districts.
She further noted that, in Addis Ababa, 11 constituencies have already completed the process and publicly posted their vote-counting results at the constituency level.
According to the Chairperson, numerous civil society organizations and other stakeholders that participated in the election as observers have also submitted their observation reports to the Board.
Looking ahead, NEBE will focus on completing vote tabulation in the remaining electoral districts, transporting the results to the central level, and finalizing preparations for the announcement of the official election results.
