IGAD Executive Secretary, Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD), held a meeting with Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya.
The discussions centred on the evolving peace and security landscape across the IGAD region, as well as institutional matters.
Both sides underscored Kenyaβs continued role as a founding Member State in advancing the collective security architecture that underpins regional stability. They agreed to deepen cooperation between IGAD and the Government of Kenya, with a view to achieving concrete outcomes in service for the region and its people, according to IGAD Secretariat.
